Speyside Whisky

Distillerie depuis 1879.

Distillerie depuis 1898.

benriach_curiositas.jpg Note du distilleur
BenRiach, established in 1898 is one of the few distilleries with its own on-site floor maltings. Curiositas uses a heavily peated malted barley as the cereal varietal to produce a unique, fresh, peated expression.
A rare peated single malt, from the Heartland of Speyside, Curiositas has wonderful overtones of peat reek, combined cleverly with a background of fruity, floral, beatbery notes and an appealing presence of oak wood in the finish. Traditionalists believe that peated malts achieve optimum balance of peat-bittersweet and oak infusion after 10 years of maturation.
In fact peated BenRiach is a return to the original Speyside character and flavour of malts typical of the nineteenth century. Curiositas is a distinctive and welcome addition to the Speyside scene - this is a dram to be savoured with a dash of water.

Distillerie depuis 1898.

benromach.jpg Note du distilleur
Delicious forest fruits and creamy malt. A wisp of smoke and lingering, luscious sherry notes.
At Benromach small batches of whisky are distilled by hand using the finest barley malted with a touch of peat smoke.
Using the finest natural ingredients, our distillers orchestrate every second of the distillation process; there are no short cuts to perfection.
Every cask is hand-filled, hand-weighed and hand-stamped before maturing for many years in our traditional dunnage warehouses.
Why do we make it this way ? Because it creates a gorgeous classic Speyside character : beautifully balanced with a light touch of smoke.
Our distillers handcraft every drop of our single malt and judge each moment of the distillation by sound, smell and touch.

Established in 1824.

In 1824, George Smith established his distillery in the remote and wild location of Glenlivet. Here, he found the perfect conditions to craft the definitive single malt whisky.

Through this timeless primeval valley run the icy waters of the river Livet. It's name, “smooth flowing one” in Gaelic, reflects the Glenlivet's beautiful rich and elegant flavours.

Matured only in first fill american oak casks, the Glenlivet 12 year old first fill has a perfect balance of late summer flowers and ripe fruit aromas.

High up in the remote area of Glenlivet, George Smith was the first to produce a whisky of such exceptional quality that it went on to define the taste of Speyside.

His definitive single malt inspired so many other distilleries to adopt the appellation “Glenlivet” that it became known as the “longest glen in Scotland”. In 1884, a legal agreement was reached to distinguish Smith's original whisky by referring to it exclusively as “The Glenlivet”.

Distilled y Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd. Matured in oak.

kilkerran-12-ans.jpg Note du distilleur
Mithcell's Glengyle Ltd. are very proud to be continuing and adding to the great Campbeltown Distilling tradition and the choice of name reflects that.
Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic 'Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain' which is the name of the original settlement where Saint Kieran had his religious cell and now Campbeltown now stands.
Kilkerran is thought to be a suitable name for a new Campbeltown Malt since it was unusual for the old Campbeltown distilleries to be called after a Glen, a custom more usually associated with the Speyside region.
Not chill filtered. No added colouring
